Das Hauptziel von Evelin Cervenkova bzw. der Lakota Oyate Information in Deutschland ist die Spracherhaltung, Suizidprävention und die Bekanntmachung gemeinnütziger Projekte nordamerikanischer Indianer.

Im Jahr 2001 wurde Evelin vom weltbekannten Indianerführer und Schauspieler Russell Means von der Pine Ridge Reservation in Süddakota gebeten ehrenamtlich an der geplanten Deutschlandtour für November 2001 zu arbeiten.

Evelin war die Erste, welche die Lakotasprache auf deutschen Webseiten vorstellt.

Im Haus Steinstraße e. V. arbeitete Evelin vom Oktober 2007 bis Juni 2016 als Projektmitarbeiterin für das Ferienspielprojekt "Stadt in der Stadt" und für die Kinder– und Jugendkunstausstellung.

Evelin wurde am 8. März 1955 Leipzig geboren. Sie sieht jünger aus und lernt gern Sprachen. Sie lebte und arbeitet 15 Jahre (1978 – 1993) in der Tschechischen Republik in Prag und sie versteht und schreibt auch Tschechisch. Während dieser Zeit lernte sie auch Slowakisch zu verstehen. Evelin versteht etwas Polnisch und Niederländisch.

The main focus of Evelin Cervenkova and her Lakota Oyate Information in Germany is on linguistic preservation, suicide prevention and introduction of charitable projects of Native Americans and First Peoples.

In 2001 Evelin was asked by the world-renowned Native American leader and actor Russell Means from the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota to volunteer for the planned Germany tour in November 2001.

Evelin has been the first who introduces the Lakota language on German homepages.

She worked from October 2007 – Juni 2016 in the House Steinstrasse (English: Stone street) Association in Leipzig as project manager for social–cultural matters and she was there responsible for the public relations (press releases). Evelin worked there on two projects for children and youth. "Stadt in der Stadt" (English: town in the town) is a children's vacation summer project, where daily can about 250 children build an own town from wood and do other interesting things. KiJUKu is a children and youth art exhibition, on which Evelin worked. The Children and Youth Art Exhibition is opened always in the first January-week in the art museum of Leipzig. About ten young people are getting every year an award for their art work.

Based on the information that Evelin has been sending to friends of Lakota in German spoken states since September 1999, the One Spirit Deutschland e. V. association was founded in April 2014, which supports the Lakota on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota.
